Sweet Stylings updating
Hello beautiful Brides and Ravishing Readers! Sweet Stylings is under some minor constructing while we update our look. In the meantime, please be patient with any hiccups or awkward growing pains.
As always, thank you for visiting…and stay tuned!
Happy Anniversary!
It’s mine and my husband’s 2nd anniversary today, and I would have loved to do a post on things I would change and things I would keep about our wedding day…but I’d rather spend my anniversary with my husband and not talking at him while typing up a blog post! That post will just have to be written later this week! Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband who has the utmost patience with me (especially when putting up with my surges of rage when dealing with technological issues that I don’t understand…remember what it was like setting up this site, honey? Not my finest moment…), who is the calm and logic to my passion and impulse (also known as overreacting sometimes…), and knows exactly when to indulge and spoil me and when to push and challenge me. Extra points for being an awesome handy-man this week putting in our new flooring while I was busy working on my projects…and Facebook — heh. The past 2 years have flown by, and I’m looking forward to the many, many, many years to come!

French sophistication wedding theme
I have been lovin’ the French-inspired decor style in my “house tours” blog browsing and thought “what a wonderful wedding theme!”. Now, having just expressed my love for French-esque decor, I may be a little biased, but I think the crisp whites, warm creams and chalky blue-greys, mixed with crystal and silver are perfect for creating a mighty sophisticated event. And the desserts! Ohhhhh, the desserts! From petite fours and mini cakes to macarons (not a typo, that’s how it is in French!), you have a plethora of dessert options for a dessert table that is tres chic. I have a deep love of pastries and am salivating just thinking about this!
To give you a better idea, Amy Atlas has a lovely dessert table that is French-inspired:

Love the plumes and the framed silhouette art! There’s a great vintage feel and yet, the design scheme is timeless.
Here’s my inspiration board for a sophisticated French-influenced wedding:

White chocolate bar favours from Martha Stewart; blue macarons from Bakerella; wedding dress from Alice Temperley; flowers from Country Living
Hmmm…I really adore those wrapped white chocolate bars from Martha Stewart. Such a sophisticated favour for your guests. I think I’ll be using them as favours the next time I throw a shindig!
